Kitchen Clocks For Even The Busiest Kitchen

The kitchen clock can be the perfect finishing touch to one of the homes most important rooms. Kitchen clocks can come in a variety of styles and sizes. Kitchen clocks are usually enamel coated so that they can withstand the vigour of kitchen life. Steam can potentially damage the colour and workings of regular clocks, however, kitchen clocks are designed to withstand this issue.

Numerous kitchen clocks have a classic, traditional design. The most popular of these designs take their inspiration from the French cafe design. Clocks which were used in cafes and train stations back in the 30s and 40s are a strong influence on lots of todays clocks. Most kitchen clocks come in a round shape and are around 30cm in diameter. In recent years, larger clocks (around 50cm) have become more prominent along with different shapes such as square clocks.

Other popular designs include floral patterns or fruit, however, one of the main kitchen clocks in the country is the Roger Lascelles Cafe de la Gare design and it is reminiscent of an old French railway clock. The design on the face is clean and crisp and the porter design on the clock adds charm to the convex, white, metal dial. The diameter of the clock is 28cm which is a relatively standard size for a kitchen clock.

Another classic Roger Lascelles kitchen wall clock is that of the Bistro design square wall clock. This clock is unique in its design and is suitable for both the modern and traditional kitchen. The style of this clock is from the 1930s and is another clock which is of French inspiration. The clock is 31cm by 31cm in a square.
